Promising future in Turkey

KI-EF President Sjoerd Timmermans, received – in the name of Kiwanis in Europe – the Award for International Corporate Social Responsibility (ICSR) in the nonprofit sector from JCI.

The award ceremony took place in the prestigious and historic Jeanne d’Arc Hall of the Lycée Saint-Michel in Istanbul during the gala that was organized by JCI Culture with the purpose of honoring civil society, corporations and partners that are socially engaged and making a difference.

“I feel very honored in my role of representing Kiwanis in Europe at this outstanding event to receive this award. On behalf of all Kiwanians who made this possible,  once again I wish to say thank you so much for recognizing the hard and good work”, said Sjoerd Timmermans. He further commented: “As to the future of Kiwanis in Turkey, I am confident that this will be a success story. When I see the energy that our Young Professionals Leaders Eda Bohur and Sevket Karadas are deploying to grow the Kiwanis family and increase our footprint in the region, I can only envisage a bright future”.
