Kiwanis Women’s Club of Marcali

Kiwanis Women’s Club of Marcali has been very active in the last quarter of 2016.

On the 1st of October we organized a Health Day sponsored by TESCO. Our project was in race with fifty other projects to get into the three bests and the last winner was selected by the costumers of TESCO. Winning was a big success for us and a great recognition of our work by people of South-West Hungary. Our main aim was to popularize healthy way of life. All participants joined us in running, skill team competition and interval gym, than the local sport associations presented their work. Attendants were able to consultate free with doctors, psychologists, dietetics and coaches during the whole day. The programme ended with a great concert.

Our 5th charity ball – the biggest event of every year – was held on the 23rd of October. Part of it was a very successful wine auction. Our main income comes from this ball every year.

On the 2nd of December Santa Claus gave gifts for each children who are attending to nursery school in our hometown, Marcali. This time children listened to a good christmas concert of Sunshine Band. On the 16th of December 40 talented children who are living between disadvanteged circumstances were given christmas presents from our Kiwanis Club.

We closed a very busy but successful year but we will work hard to make the next year at least as or even more efficient like this one was. Special thanks to every member of our club and of course all of our donators. Happy new year to each child and Kiwanian of this world.
