In August 1914, in Detroit, Allan Brown decided to create a club, which was essentially a business. KIWANIS Club was called, which is phonetic unadattamento three words of the Indian dialect of the tribe Ochipew, 'NUN wanis KEE', which means, roughly, is 'We like to combine our talents'.
