A new club in every city, in all districts

Dear friends,
For many years Kiwanis has engaged in thousands of projects serving the needs of Children all over the world. Through the efforts and generosity of Kiwanis members, all over the world children in need have been fed, dressed, educated, treated for health problems and given encouragement and hope for a better future. Through the service of our Clubs we have showed everyone that as long as there are Kiwanians in the world can there be hope for the children. Now is the time to do even more. What better investment can we make for the future than to form a new Kiwanis club, recruit new members, to expand ther range of services we can offer?
This is the moment of challenge: to create and train at least one new club in every city, in all districts. In doing so we can make everyone know what Kiwanis is all about, what it does and how it acts. More clubs means more service and, with each act of service, more children can expect an improvement and change to their lives, no matter how small that change may be. Then the challenge is open, to show to everyone what it means to demonstrate a badge of Kiwanis in the heart, and to take pride and enthusiasm in being part of the great family of Kiwanis, which in almost one hundred years of history has brought serenity and joy to many children in the world. Our goals should be -
- Each member is committed to recruit at least one new member during the year.
- Each club to form at least one other Kiwanis club or a club of sponsored programs (Kiwanis Junior, Builder Club, etc.).
- Each district to form at least one new club in each division.
We are issuing a challenge of meritocracy in our target of changing the world with "A new club in every city, in all districts."
To encourage our efforts we propose to honour those clubs, divisions and districts who do well by giving an important recognition to:
- The three districts of the Federation at the end of the year who have formed the largest number of new clubs;
- The three divisions of the Federation at the end of the year who have formed the largest number of new clubs;
- The club within each District of the Federation who, at the end of the year, have recruited the most new members;
Services performed by the three best clubs in the Federation. (Each district must report three clubs. We evaluate the sums collected, the hours of work and the number of partners involved, the number of children served, the fallout on the territory, the fallout on the image of Kiwanis)
At work it's time to grow, it's time to service.
At work it's time to grow, it's time to service.
